PicoDrive (Hao Zhang Version)
Play the classic Sonic the hedgehog on your ppc
PicoDrive is a SEGA Megadrive (Genesis in some markets) console emulator.
The program runs well but you get the sense that it is still in the initial stages of development. Practically without options, a Debug mode, and above all no sound, being its greatest fault. There is no full screen mode as with Pocket Genesis.
I don't have many ROMs but I was pleased to note that Sonic 1 runs at normal speed, which is already a sign of quality. On the other hand, I found some graphical bugs with the other ROMs, which you will need to test.
A program that needs to be watched, for there are many great games on the Megadrive.
You may need File dialog changer or togetfile dll to open ROM storage folders

PocketNester V0.7
In the world of emulators on the Pocket PC, PocketNester is one of the smallest, but is announced as one of the best NES (sometimes called Famicom) emulators available.
The speed is really much better than with all the others I've tested, and in most of the games there are no sound problems.
Neither could I find incompatibilities with any of the ROMs I have. There is no option missing, I didn't have any problems with the buttons on my Casio, but maybe some people would have liked to have a virtual pad.
All in all, if you have 233kB free on your Pocket PC, don't miss out on classic games like; Galaga Galaxian Pacman Mario F1 racing Bubblebobble Pinball ect ect.

Here is a program that I really like: a classic game (Lemmings) recreated for our machines, and totally free. Thanks to the developer.
The port is very well done and there are no less than 30 level provided (requiring 413kb of RAM).

Cantris
Tetris clone, the ever-lasting game you can't get your hands off.
This is certainly one of the best implementations of this game for the Pocket PC, and all this in only 179kB on MIPS.
You can play with two players via TCP/IP or Infrared. Even better: it can connect to a server program (written in Java) where players can find opponents to play all the time. This is especially useful as a Win32 version exists, which is of course compatible.

NeoTiles
Who doesn't know of Mahjongg or even Taipei?
So, Neotiles is another version of this puzzle game.
The timer ticks down while you try to find 2 identical tiles so you can remove them from the game.
Simple, yes?
The graphics are not extremely polished, but that won't affect the attraction of the game.
With ore than 20 levels, you will be kept spellbound for some time.
Give it a go.

Free Pong
Free Pong is a very nice version, graphically excellent, much better than the original (too bad for the traditionalists). What's more, the sound effect of the "ball" hitting the bat is very well reproduced.
In short, with Free Pong, you can transform your Pocket PC into the classic Atari 1972 de luxe. But hey, it's not really an upgrade!

Xonix
Xonix is a well-known arcade game in which you have to reduce the space available for a certain number of balls, without touching the new limit line while it’s being built. In good old Microsoft Entertainment Pack under Win 3.1, this game was called JezzBall, but it existed beforehand under the name of Qix.
This version is excellent, both at the game-playing and the graphics level.

Xevious Clone
Clone of the classic arcade shoot-um up Xevious. Good graphics & gameplay. Shoot down the planes, sink the boats, pick up the hostages, collect weapon upgrades & points as you progress through the levels.

Worms World Party
Worms World Party is a turn based, team orientated game. The player commands the movement and actions of a team of worms who have access to an enormous arsenal of weapons and tools. The team is inserted in to a 'landscape' with in which battle takes place, the goal being to annihilate the opponent and be the last worm wriggling.

Wolfenstein 3D
This is a very good port of this classic game.
All 6 game levels are included.
Game control is very good using the D-pad the stylus & the on screen buttons.
You can play this game easily (on the bus, train,plane ect) unlike Doom, Duke Nukem which have complicated button controls that are hard to set up on many devices.
One of my favourites as it ported to the PPC controls so well.
Sound, Game saving & control options are supported.
Tested on WM2003SE & WM5
